About
Mental Image
Productions.
Mental Image Productions is a Sydney-based design, animation and video production business, established in 2012. Projects span broadcast, digital media and events, with a focus on science communication and educational content.
Specialist support is available at individual stages of production, or for complete projects from concept to final delivery.
Hamish Gilbert
Artist and animator Hamish Gilbert founded Mental Image Productions and leads its design and production work as creative director and producer.
Following his work on Beyond Productions’ MythBusters, Hamish developed a focus on science communication, collaborating with Australian scientists and academics at UNSW, ANSTO and NSW Health.
Hamish handles most design projects directly and assembles specialist teams for larger productions, coordinating artists, writers, animators, developers, performers and editors according to each project’s requirements.
